Tony

Tony is the secret identitiy of Dock Boy. In a perfect world, I'd be this cute and buff. Here he is in his Dockings uniform ("The Dockings" being the Art Galaxy equivalent of "The Moorings," the marina where I was employed on Mallett's Bay in Colchester). The name arose after a joke around the boat yard. We didn't sell moorings, but we did sell dock-space. I think you can figure out the rest.

Dock Boy

Dock Boy is my flagship character. He was created during the summer of 1996 (between my Junior and Senior years in high school) when I worked at a marina as--brace yourselves--the dock boy. After a long, hard day of work, I sat down and doodled an answer to the question "What would the best dock boy in the world be like?" In my twisted view of reality, he came out as a superhero. He doesn't have any super powers, per se, but he's a natural athlete and excellent swimmer, with uncanny balance and intuitive navigation skills. These are all things that would come in handy as a dock boy and as the masked protector of Baytown, Vermont(modeled not-so-loosely on Colchester, VT).

Welcome to Art Galaxy Comics

Howdy. My name's Tony Galle. I'm the writer/artist for a completely unpublished universe of comic characters. I thought it would be fun to get my ideas out there for the world to see, so I created this blog. This will be a catch-all for my creative endeavors, including artwork, stories and character profiles from my own comic universe.

Why "Art Galaxy?" It's a funny story. I'm a K-8 art teacher in Vermont. I've been called lots of different things by the kids (Mrs. Galle, Mr. Art Gallery, etc). One girl, for whatever reason, called me Mr. Art Galaxy. The name had a nice ring to it, so I decided to go with it.

So, there you go!
